TITLE: Mindfulness Practices for Teacher Sustainability
Mary, the 2016 Stanislaus County Teacher of the Year, has been a secondary school English Language Arts teacher and consultant with the Great Valley Writing Project for over 20 years. Part of her work with teachers is designed to ensure that they practice resilience strategies to maintain the focus, creativity, and contentment needed to teach their content without feeling overwhelmed and burned out. Teachers will leave this workshop with research-based strategies to support themselves and their students as they navigate the stressful challenges of teaching, learning, and life.
