Hillary McClintick earned her Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Journalism/communication studies and a minor in Mathematics, as well as her Masters in Education from the University of Oregon. She is in her 7th year of teaching at Cal Young Middle School in Eugene, Oregon.

In addition to teaching, Hillary coaches the 2008 State Championship Dance Team at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, and she owns and runs her own private dance studio from her home called The Next Step Dance Studio.

She has been married to her husband Ryan for 7 years, and they just had their first child this winter, a beautiful baby girl named Hallie.

A Word From the President

“In the early 90’s, I met a teacher named Ken Purnell from Eastern Oregon. He attended our original conference in Montesano, WA.  After the conference each day, Ken would successfully cold call on local residents to hire him to paint their roadside curbs.  He really impressed us, so we hired him to start a new site in Redmond, Oregon. His son Dustin, also a loyal and hardworking young man took over the site when Ken retired. Thorough Dustin, he recommended his sister-in-law, Hillary to start new sites in Eugene and Roseburg, Oregon. What a gift she turned out to be for SI. She is tremendously organized, passionate and caring. Thank-you to the Purnell/McClintick family for your contributions to our SI Oregon success!”
