Note:
In order to get your grades posted before July 1, 2022, we will not be offering our Place Based Education (PBE) Day on Friday, July 1st. Instead, the Livonia course will be virtual for four days, June 27-30, and this year’s Livonia participants can join our Lansing Conference at Michigan State University (9 am – Noon) on Wednesday, June 22, where we will feature 2 or 3 choices of Place Based Education sessions. This will complete your 3 credit, 45-hour course. Immediately following, teachers will enjoy a SI complementary luncheon & PLC/Social at our Site Coordinator, Dick Comar’s home.
If distance/date/circumstances make it impossible to attend our MSU PBE sessions, you will need to choose an alternative PBE site. An assignment on your chosen PBE site will be completed for class credit. Instructions about PBE and the assignment can be found on our website. Assignments must be completed before the first day of class and posted in our Canvas Platform prior to Monday, June 27. NOTE: If you are also enrolling in the Lansing conference, you will need to choose an alternative PBE assignment to complete your 45 hours per course.
In May, the MSU PBE choices will be sent to you via EMail for your selection of topics. If you are not attending MSU, you will simply complete your chosen PBE assignment.
