  • 3 credits (45 hours) – Passing grade: Attendance & journaling.
    Letter grade: Passing requirements, plus written reports on presenters
  • 4 credits (60 hours) – Passing grade & letters grades same as 3 credits, plus one PBE Day or independent study book reading/report.

Matt Kincaid holds an MBA and a PhD in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. As a consultant, speaker, and leadership coach, Dr. Kincaid works with organizations all across the US. He was recently named in Inc. Magazine as one of the Top 100 leadership speakers in the nation for 2018. As an academic, Dr. Kincaid serves as an associate professor of business at Heritage University. His work on servant-leadership has been published in multiple scientific journals, including the International Journal of Leadership Studies and the International Journal of Servant-Leadership. Dr. Kincaid co-authored the Amazon Top 10 New Release, Permission to Speak Freely: How the Best Leaders Cultivate a Culture of Candor, which has been sold across the globe and highly praised by several New York Times bestselling authors. The book released internationally on March 20, 2017 via Berrett-Koehler Publishers. It is also being translated into Chinese and will debut in Asia sometime in 2018.

How does social media fixation impact identity development? Help students learn to resist peer pressure, think critically, and make choices that promote kindness and discourage bullying. This session will provide educators with information, tips and tools to help students stay safe and contribute to building a positive online culture. Digital citizenship will be emphasized, as well as how to help students stay safe and prevent harassment, sexploitation and blackmail. Learn best practice strategies for how to support students encountering or engaging in peer pressure, cyberbullying, and sexting.

Refund Policy: There will be a $100 non refundable deposit and no refunds after June 1st. However, class fees are automatically refunded in full when: the class or workshop is full, the activity is canceled, or SI rejects the enrollment application.  If you drop a class before June 1, your class fee is automatically refunded, less the $100 non refundable deposit. If you drop a class after June 1, no refund will be given.

Class Changes and Cancellations: A class will be closed when it reaches maximum enrollment, so register early. Classes with insufficient enrollment will be canceled, and those registered will be notified of the cancellation by email or phone. To make contacting you easier, provide an email and phone number with your registration.  Refunds will be processed automatically for classes canceled by SI.

SI reserves the right to cancel any class. Class locations, dates, times and instructors are subject to change without notice.
